Now simply select the topmost Fabric API version that is compatible with your Minecraft version. Inside the square brackets you will find the exact Minecraft version(s) (or snapshot(s)) that that Fabric API version is meant for. You will see a table with Fabric API versions, all of which should start with square brackets. Open this link in a new tab: At the top right, you will see Game Version: 1.16.1.Ĭlick on that and change it so that it matches your Minecraft version from step 1. Y kind of represents the Minecraft version, but not the exact version. It should look something like this: fabric-api-X.X. (again, numbers instead of X and Y) Unfortunately these numbers arent very useful. Step 4: Fix your Fabric API version Now take a look at your Fabric API file. Remember: It always ends in MC followed by the Minecraft version that its meant for. Go back to, download the correct version and place it in your mods folder (be sure to remove the old file). Thats what the MC part stands for, by the way.) Does that Minecraft version match the one you decided on in step 1 If not, you downloaded the wrong Wurst version. It should look something like this: Wurst-Client-vXXX-MCYYY.jar (again you will see numbers instead of Xs and Ys) This time, X is your Wurst version and Y is your Minecraft version. Step 3: Fix your Wurst version Step 3 and 4 will both take place in your mods folder. If you had to change anything here, try and see if you can start the game now. Then restart the Minecraft launcher, go back to the Edit screen and fix the VERSION field. Is it the same loader version that you have in your profile If you answered no to either of the above (or if your VERSION field looks completely different), run the Fabric installer again and pay close attention to the Minecraft version that its set to. In the VERSION field, you should see something like this: release fabric-loader-X.X.Xbuild.XXX-YYY (but instead of Xs and Ys, you will see numbers) X is your Fabric loader version, Y is your Minecraft version. In the Minecraft launcher, go to the Installations tab and locate the profile that you use to launch Wurst. The rest of this post will assume that you are using something newer than Minecraft 1.13. Wurst 1.13 Mods Folder Forĭo you really want Minecraft 19w42a (an old snapshot that not many people use, but its in your mods folder for some reason) or do you actually want to use Minecraft 1.16.1 (the latest release at the time of writing) If you want to use a Minecraft version older than 1.13 (like 1.8 or 1.12), then you should follow the old Wurst 6 Installation Tutorial. Here is how to fix your Wurst installation: Step 1: Decide which Minecraft version you want to use Sounds obvious, but you would be surprised how many people forget this.
